Dewey Beach offers Movies on the Beach every Monday and bonfires every Wednesday
during the summer on Dagsworthy Street on the beach. Both are free and open to the
public but donations to help keep this going are appreciated.

HERE ARE THE ANSWERS TO SOME COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS


button Do you have to pay to go on the beach? - You do not have to pay to go on the beaches except in the State Parks where there is an admission to the area.

buttonWhat about parking? - Permits are required from May 15 until September 15 and must be displayed in the front window. Permits are not good in metered parking. Permits are NOT REQUIRED Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 5:00 PM tp 11:00 PM (meters are not included and must be fed). Be sure not to park where it is prohibited or you will be towed.

buttonDo you have off street parking? - We do have parking available for two vehicles off street one behind the other for each apartment.

buttonHow close are you to the beach? - Our location is great as we are approximately 100 feet to the beach. It is perfect for small children and some of our older guests since there are no roads to cross and close enough for bathroom, lunch, and nap breaks.

buttonHow many people will each apartment sleep? - Apartment A is our largest apartment and will sleep 8 people (not including infants) comfortably. Apartments B & C will each sleep 6 (not including infants) comfortably

buttonAre your apartments suitable for families?
We are very family oriented and even have a great picnic area and seating area in the back yard. Our yard is sandy like the beach so the kids can play until you're ready to head to the beach. We welcome families and they are our primary guests.

buttonDo you ever host family reunions? - We do host family reunions and have a couple that meet here every year.

buttonDo you rent for Senior Week? - We do rent for Senior Week but require the parents to also sign the rental agreements and their signatures must be notarized.

buttonDo you rent to singles? - We do rent to responsible singles groups but do reserve the right NOT to rent to anyone under the age of 25. Our rates are based on six people for Apartment A and four people for Apartments B & C. There is a charge of $50.00 per night per extra guest up to the maximum the apartment will sleep.

buttonHow noisy is it where you are? - We are located on the ocean side and are far enough away from the entertainment areas of Dewey that we don't often experience the noise. What we hear is the pleasurable sound of the ocean waves as they pound on the surf.

buttonAre there restaurants in Dewey Beach? - Dewey Beach has a variety of restaurants and eateries from fine dining to crabs.

buttonDo you have outdoor showers? - We have not one but two very nice outdoor showers with hot and cold water. One shower has a hand held shower spray for the little ones or perfect for giving your dog a bath.

buttonDo you have internet access? - We do have free wireless internet. It is supplied from Xfinity which we pay for and is offered as a courtesy. It is not guaranteed if not available and will not result in any refund should it not be available,.

buttonDo you allow pets? - We are pet friendly for approved dogs with a pet fee of $40.00 per day per pet. They must be completely housebroken (no puppies unless completely trained), non marking, odor and flea free, and not bark excessively to cause disturbance. No cats due to allergies.

 

buttonDo the apartments have cable TV? - No, we do not have cable tv, All three of our apartments have Fire stick TV.

buttonAre pets allowed on the beach? - Pets are allowed on the beach before 9:30 AM and after 5:30 PM during the summer season from May 15 to September 15. They are allowed on the beach anytime after September 15 and before May 15. There is a $90.00 fine for not cleaning up after your pet for the first offense. Bags are provided at each street entrance to the beach. You must have a bag or device for cleaning up after your pet on your person at all times when walking your pet. This is strictly enforced.

buttonDoes Dewey Beach require a dog license? - Dewey Beach does require a dog license. DOGS must have a Dewey Beach Dog License. Licenses may be obtained at Town Hall at a one time cost of
3-Day Temporary License Each: $5.00
8-Day Temporary License Each: $10.00
Souvenir Tag & Lifetime License Each: $52.00 ($2 Shipping & Handling Fee)
Lifetime License Each: $37.00 ($2 Shipping & Handling Fee) and are good for the life of the dog.
Dogs are not allowed on the beach from 9:30AM to 5:30PM May 15 to September 15.
September 16 to May 14 dogs are allowed anytime but need a Dewey Beach dog license.
While dogs may be unleashed, they must remain under the control of their owner. Dogs are not permitted to run at large.
Be aware that many dogs may be playing off leash on the beach. Know your dog and their limits, and respect other dogs and their owners. All visitors deserve to enjoy the beach safely.
Dogs must be under the control of an individual and that individual must have a device to clean up the dog's droppings (Year-Round). Bags are available for your convenience at each dune entrance.

buttonDo the apartments have washer and dryer? - Only Apartment A has a washer and dryer. There are laundry mats in the area.

buttonWhat is provided? - We provide pillows with pillow protectors, mattress covers & pads, comforter sets with shams, some cleaning products, starter supply of paper towels, tissue, dishwasher tabs, and trash bags.

buttonWhat do we need to bring? - You will need to bring sheets & towels as well as paper products, soap, shampoo, etc. Sheets & towels can be provided for a fee. Call for information. We provide a starter supply of paper products, trash bags, dish tabs, etc. We do not provide beach chairs or umbrellas.

buttonIs alcohol allowed on the beach? - There is no alcohol allowed on the beach or on any public right of way.

buttonCan weddings be held on the beach? - Weddings are allowed on the beach but must be approved by the Town Manager and there is a $100.00 fee.

buttonAre you allowed to have a bonfire on the beach? - Dewey Beach does allow bonfires on the beach with a required $150.00 permit fee ($100.00 ls a refundable deposit if the beach is cleaned up). This must be paid in cash. See https://www.townofdeweybeach.com/BeachBonfires

buttonAre beach chairs and umbrellas available on the beach? - Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent on the beach during the hours of 9 to 5.

buttonCan you buy food and drinks on the beach? - You can buy hot dogs and soft drinks on the beach as well as Planet Ice.

buttonIs the beach handicapped accessible? - Handicapped beach chairs are available from the Dewey Beach lifeguards at no charge.

buttonDoes the beach have lifeguards? - Dewey has award winning lifeguards located at the end of each street. We also have lifeguards located at the walkway on the Bayside. Our ligeguards are on duty from May 15 until September 15.
